Non-contact RFID coded safety switches can monitor opening/closing of machine guards, doors, or other machinery. Radio-frequency identification provides the most tamper-proof protection; physical contact is not required between the switch and actuator. Selection includes rectangular or cylindrical housings, and plastic or stainless steel construction.

Coded non-contact safety switches use coded magnets to close the circuits, thereby offering even more protection.
The safety switch and actuator work together in such a way that the enable condition from the safety device is only triggered if the actuating element is within the switch's response range and the code on the actuator matches that of the switch.
All coded non-contact safety switches are designed to conform to IEC 60947-5-3 and be used as directed by EN1088, EN ISO12100 and EN 60204-1.
When used in combination with a dual channel safety relay, non-contact coded switches can be used to provide protection up to Category 4 and PL e to ISO 13849-1.

Non-contact safety switches are interlocking devices that are designed to protect both people and machines. They are preferred in certain applications where no physical contact (under normal conditions) takes place between the switch and actuator.
Non-contact magnetic safety switches provide a wide (>10mm) sensing distance and a high tolerance to misalignment after sensing.

The MGL Series of safety switches combines magnetic locking and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to provide non-contact operation and high anti-tamper coding. In addition an electromagnet is used to lock machine guards.

IDEM's KLP-Z / KLM-Z / KL3-Z Series of RFID Coded Safety Switches has been designed to fit into the leading edge of machine guard doors to provide robust guard locking while also providing a double tamper resistant interlock mechanism.
They are designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards and will remain locked until the solenoid voltage is applied to the switch. These switches can be used in conjunction with delay timers to provide the solenoid energize signal only after a pre-determined amount of time has passed.
When used in combination with a dual channel safety relay or control device, Non-Contact Safety Switches can be used to provide protection up to Category 4 and PLe to ISO13849-1.

These solenoid locking switches are similar to our current safety interlock switches, but maintain a holding force on the key until the solenoid is energized to release.
Tongue operated Safety Interlock Switches are designed to fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift-off machine guards to provide positively operated switching contacts and provide a tamper resistant actuator mechanism. They are designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards.

Tongue operated Safety Interlock Switches are designed to fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift-off machine guards to provide positively operated switching contacts and provide a tamper resistant actuator mechanism. They are designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards.
These safety interlock and safety limit switches are developed and manufactured according to IEC and EN European standards and are cULus and CE listed.

Hinge Safety Interlock Switches are designed to provide position interlock detection for moving guards by providing positively operated switching contacts and a tamper resistant actuator mechanism. They are designed to fit to the hinged axis of machine guard doors. The switch body fits to the door frame and the actuator fits to the door.
Operation of the switches is achieved by the sliding action of the actuator arm to cause deflection of the switch plunger.
The head of the switch can be rotated to obtain the best switch orientation.

Cable-Pull (Grab-Wire) safety rope switches are designed to be mounted on machines and sections of conveyors which cannot be protected by guards.
In contrast to traditional mushroom head type emergency stop buttons, Cable-Pull Safety Rope Switches can initiate the emergency command from any point along the installed rope length and provide robust emergency stop rope pull protection for exposed conveyors or machines.
