Additional Information
ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinders are used extensively in European-built machinery for product packaging, high speed manufacturing, pick and place, food processing and bottling. NITRA G-series metric cylinders are very similar in design to NFPA cylinders (US version). They offer magnetic pistons for position sensing and adjustable cushions on each end of stroke.

Features
  • ISO cylinders are used extensively in machinery being built in/for European countries being shipped to the United States.
  • ISO 15552 cylinders are used most prominently in manufacturing machinery for product packaging, high speed product manufacturing, pick and place, food processing, bottling.
  • Internal magnet for sensor switching
  • Three sides with longitudinal slots for inserting and securing retractable sensors
  • Plastoferrite magnet
  • C45 chromed piston rod
  • Brass cushioning needle with needle out movement safety system
  • Steel guide bushing with bronze and PTFE (Teflon) insert
  • Pressure rating 145 psi [10 bar], AIR ONLY
  • Self-lubricating technopolymer piston
  • "G" threaded ports (BSPP - British Standard Pipe Parallel)
  • All models are available for same-day shipment
  • Assembled in the USA

Mounting Options
  • Flange Mounted - The cylinder has holes on the ends of the end caps that allow easy mounting to a plate or other surfaces
  • Rear Clevis and Rear Pivot Mount - Clevis and Pivot mounts use a bracket that allows a pivoted mount.

Cushioned Cylinders
During the piston travel in either direction, full flow is exiting exhaust port until the piston rod extension reaches its seal. At this point all remaining flow is diverted thru the reduced path which is even more restricted by an adjustable screw type valve. Thus softening or cushioning the piston impacting the cap.
