LVITs are contactless devices with no friction issues or moving parts that can wear out. LVITs exhibit outstanding repeatability, with resolution limited only by the electronics used with them. All of these transducers have a single output of 0-10V or 4-20mA (depending on model).
The Alliance LVIT proprietary SenSet™ process provides the ability to match the end points of the sensor's analog output with the ends of the range of motion of a workpiece or the ram of a hydraulic cylinder to which the sensor is attached. The SenSet™ feature permits the user to optimize the position measuring system resolution over the full range of motion.
